Hey everyone.

We had a pretty good week.
Monday we dinner with the Almani family. They are a fun family, she cooked us some fish and shrimp potatoe soup. It's been a long time since I've had sea food but it was really good. Then afterwards she gave us haircuts. She's been cutting hair since before I was born she told me. We've been inviting all the members to share something they learned from the 'come follow me' curriculum with a friend or someone they know outside of the church. It's been going pretty well. On Tuesday we had dinner with the Thomas family. Sister Thomas cooked us breakfast for dinner. They have 3 very young daughters. Their youngest (2yrsold) really likes me, haha it's cute. On Wednesday we had dinner with the Bokish family. They are hilarious. Sister Bokish is very sassy and and likes to make fun of us, especially Elder Brautigam. Lilly, who is a recent convert joined us for a lesson that night. Then afterwards we played basketball at the church with our non member friends. Thursday morning we had zone conference. We were mostly taught how to do member work more effectively. We had a star guest come and instruct us. One of the Sisters from 'The District' missionary videos. It was a very spiritual meeting. Then that night we had dinner with the Simpsons. Brother Simpson is our Ward Mission Leader. He takes his calling very seriously, and is definitely led by the spirit. Afterwards he took us to his friend Keith Story who we are teaching. We read more of the book of Mormon with him and answered the questions he had. We also shared the plan of salvation with him. He understood most of it, and recognized a lot of it as truth. He is definitely progressing and will be a member someday I hope. On Sunday we visited a less active member, her name was Sparkles. She is going through a hard time right now but we were able to comfort her and gave her hope for brighter days by sharing our testimonies with her. Than that night we had breakfast for dinner again with the Buchanans. Sister Buchanan made grits to, but these grits were a lot more thick than what I was used to. Brother Buchanan is a World War 2 fanatic. He showed us some of his WW2 possessions, some guns and medals.
The members are starting to open up to us a little more which has been awesome. We have a few people we could possibly teach from members. We didn't have much luck through our personal efforts this week, just a couple return appointments. Anyways, hope y'all have a great week!
